My family has lived in Broward County for over 60 years and I have made a commitment to public service. After settling here in 1966, Broward County has been my home nearly all of my life except to attend and graduate from the University of Florida in Gainesville. I attended Stirling Elementary, Attucks Middle and Hollywood Hills High School. I met and married my wife in Dania Beach and together we help raise our three teenagers. I built my business here and it has been located in Dania Beach for over 15 years and most importantly, I have proudly served the people of Dania Beach as your commissioner for the last three years during some of the toughest economic conditions in over a generation.

Just as I have steered my business through tough economic times over the past 27 years, I have also led Dania Beach as your commissioner during the worst economy in over a generation. I have fought to improve our neighborhoods and make them safer. I fought for cleaner water, cheaper waste removal and I fought to clean our precious beach and city marina and pier. I have fought to clean up Federal Highway and demolish the eyesores that have plagued our downtown for too long. I have been in the fight against the south runway expansion and my record is strong and consistent as a voice for our impacted residents. I also led the merger of our city fire department into BSO saving our tax payers millions and getting us out of the unfunded pension business. During three of the most challenging years in our recent history I have been the voice for economic development, job creation, low taxes and fiscal responsibility on our Dania Beach City Commission.

For nearly four years now I have been fighting every day for the residents of Dania Beach. I know how to lead - in good times and bad - and as president of a successful commercial real estate valuation practice I have the solid financial background to navigate our community through these tough economic times and put us on good financial footing for our future.
